My husband Matt calls me a digital introvert because I’ve resisted the public space of Facebook for a long time now. So yes, I know it’s ironic that I am starting a blog.
A recurring theme I’ve heard from parents who have gone before us is that kids grow up fast which I am finding out now, first hand, is so true. Our son Keegan, who has graced our lives through an open adoption, is now almost 6 weeks old.
People say that it is the significant life-changing moments that make one pause and reflect. During those late-night feedings as a new mom, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect – this past month it’s mostly been about how so very blessed I am. And I want to remember this.
I not only want to remember how lucky I am and Keegan’s milestones, but I want to capture and be able to remember the everyday moments of life with my wonderful hubby Matt, our new son, our 2 canine companions Lucy and JJ, and all our great friends and family who surround us. Because that’s what life is about.
I am also very conscious of the fact that there are a lot of people out there, in addition to Matt & me, who love Keegan very much. They are excited about the opportunity to watch him grow, to see his life unfold and to witness the person he is becoming just as much as we are. This blog is for them too.
So, welcome to our world. We hope you enjoy kickin' it with Keegan just as much as we do.
Thank you Eunice for going the extra mile and giving us the opportunity to stay connected to Keegan in such a special way. I really appreciate it and look forward to each new post!
