Indiana Christmas

Since we were heading out of town on the 24th to spend Christmas in Cali (pictures to come in another post) and Grandma Jody and Aunt Steph were off to Tunisia on the same day to visit Aunt Bev, we hosted the Donovan side of the family for an early Christmas celebration and dinner before we all took off on our respective travels.

Can you tell that everyone was thrilled about me snapping pictures?

Before we celebrated Christmas at home, Matt took Keegan shopping and when Matt asked him what he wanted to get me, he replied "A yellow present". When asked what he wanted to get Grandma Jody and Aunt Steph, he stated "Orange present". When Matt was telling me about their father/son Christmas present shopping excursion, he said he was stumped at first about where they were going to go where they could find presents by color category. They ended up at Pier 1, where the sales clerk was very kind and patient and walked Keegan through the store asking him what kind of things we liked.

The gift selection results which Keegan did all by himself: a cute little cat mug for Grandma Jody and Aunt Steph which had a little mouse figurine inside the bottom of the mug.

"Do you see the mouse Grandma?!"

And for me, a bright sunshiney yellow happy face mug which now ranks in the category of one of my all-time favorite Christmas gifts. Ever.

Keegan was once again showered with gifts and one of this year's gift themes seemed to be "things that go".

Motorcycle from Uncle Scott
Hot Wheels ramp from Aunt Steph

Scooter from Grandma Jody
And I didn't get a picture of the roller skates, also from Grandma Jody. I think we are ready for spring!
