Keegan's Tree

Just after Keegan was born last year, our first extended outing was up to Indy for the annual Home & Garden Show. While we were there, Matt's sister Stephanie picked up a tree sapling for Keegan from one of the vendors. I planted it in a pot and it sprouted some leaves last summer.

As nature would have it, it lost its leaves when fall rolled around. Not having much of a green thumb, I wasn't sure if the tree (which at the time, was a stick protruding out of a pot) was still alive, but I brought it inside for the winter and then set it out on the deck when the weather got warmer earlier this spring.

Lo and behold, it is still alive and doing well!

Here are a few pictures of Keegan with the tree over the last 16 months so you can see how much Keegan and the tree have grown.

  2. Great! That is the one Henry dumped a bunch of dirt out of at Keegan's birthday party. Sorry! Special little tree.
