Touch A Truck

Bloomington hosts a great event for kids every year called Touch A Truck! Keegan is into all kinds of cars, trucks, construction and large earth moving equipment so even though we'd never been to the event before, he got super excited just hearing the words "Touch A Truck". He was so excited that when he saw me texting some friends we were meeting there, before pulling out of the garage, he said, "No Mommy, no phone. Let's go! Let's go!"

He loved seeing the big red fire truck pulling into the lot as we arrived and I thought to myself, "He is going to love this!" Of course, with a toddler, things never go the way you imagine and their preferences change with the wind...First stop - we waited in line for the police car and when it was Keegan's turn to climb in the back seat and check it out, he refused.
Next stop, the military humvee. Not interested in that, either.

Matt was able to get away from work for a little while that morning and meet us out there so I thought maybe Keegan would be willing to climb on some of the vehicles with Papa around. We waited in line for the fire truck and of course, no such luck.

He did get on the city bus and FedEx truck with a little coaxing.

The highlight was the helicopter that landed in the baseball field. He was fascinated with seeing it land so the event wasn't a complete bust!
