Thanksgiving Day 2012 - God Is

We had a great Thanksgiving today at the barn. On the ride home, while recounting my blessings, I was reminded of a song that I heard at church during the first Mass my mom and I went to right after Keegan was born.

So on this Thankgiving Day 2012, I borrow the lyrics of that same song. It sums up the feelings of amazement and gratitude for this blessed life that is mine, which I often have difficulty capturing in my own words.

Nothing Left to Say by David Angerman & Joseph Martin
When I see the morning rise
When I gaze at cloudless skies
Or watch a golden eagle as she flies
There’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say
God is.

When I watch the children play
Dancing through a summer’s day
Dreaming, singing, laughing all the way
There’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say
God is.

When I see the falling snow
Touch the beauty of a rose
Trace the winding river as it flows
When I see a caring face or a simple act of grace
People reaching out with love and praise

When I hear a symphony
View creation’s tapestry
Or wonder at life’s sacred mystery
There’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say, there’s nothing left to say

  1. It looks like you guys had a great Thanksgiving. I love all of the outdoors activities. We went to my brother's in Greenwood and spent the day with his family. We drove that night over to Urbana to be with Peter's parents. Lots of driving, but nice visits. (And my sister-in-laws yeast rolls were to die for!)

  2. This is beautiful Eunice. We love you guys.
Love the time we've been able to spend with you this year now that you're work schedule is less. Henry told me yesterday on the way home that I "need to tell Keegs how cute he is because he is just soooo cute!"
